How does skin resurfacing work?

Skin resurfacing with the state-of-the-art Lumenis® ResurFX™ platform uses highly advanced nonablative fractional laser technology to help your skin heal. 

With each burst of fiber laser light from the handheld scanner, damaged layers of your skin are gently removed. At the same time, deeper skin tissues are heated to therapeutic temperatures. 

This stimulates a natural cascade of events where cells quickly start turning over and building up new tissues, including collagen and elastin. Over time, these tissues make their way to the surface, so your skin is entirely revitalized.
